James J. DePillo Jr.

February 15, 1941 - August 26, 2017

Loving and Devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather.


James J. DePillo, Jr.,76, of Foxboro, passed peacefully on August 26, 2017 in Tufts Medical Center, Boston.  He was the beloved husband of Mary J. (Brunell) DePillo, with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage.   Born in Attleboro on February 15, 1941, he was a son of the late James J. and Emily (Fraccalvieri) DePillo. James worked as a quality assurance engineer for 35 years at Northrup Corporation prior to retirement.  He was well known as a disc jockey in the area, performing at many local events and weddings for many years.  He was an avid New England Patriots fan and also enjoyed flying drones.    In addition to his wife Mary, James is survived by four children; Kristine Whaples and her husband Walter of Sandwich, James J. DePillo III of Peabody, Patricia DePillo and her companion Eric Woodford of Plainville, and Daniel DePillo and his wife Jennifer of Wrentham, and 7 grandchildren; Kyle, Robyn, Justine, Ally, Emilia, Sophia, and Natalie.  He was the brother of the late Ralph DePillo.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, August 31st from 4-8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, in Foxboro.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 1st at 10 AM in St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxborough.  Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery.
