Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother
Mildred J. Savoy, 82, of Centerville, formerly of Foxboro, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on August 11, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Robert Savoy, with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Born in Watertown on October 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lila (Crossland) Cutler. Mildred retired from the Raytheon Company in Norwood and Waltham after working for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She most enjoyed spending quality time with her family, traveling, camping, and New England sports.
In addition to her husband, Mildred is survived by her children, Michael Savoy of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Wendy Hachey and her husband Mark of Mansfield, Eric Savoy and his wife Denise of Bronxville, New York, and Jason Savoy and his wife Stephanie of Sandwich; nine grandchildren, Bobby and his wife Karen, Andy, Ryan, Tyler, Shannon, Alex, Shane, Elizabeth and Matthew; and three great grandchildren, Adrianna, Brady, and Cameron. .She was the mother of the late Brenda L. Savoy.
Mildred was also survived by her siblings, Robert Cutler, Betty McAlister, Barbara Knox, and Carol Churchill, all of Buckfield, Maine. Her deceased siblings were Kenneth Cutler of Waltham, Edward Cutler of Waltham, Paul Cutler of Maynard and Roy Cutler of Derry, New Hampshire.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, in Foxboro. A funeral service will follow visitation in the funeral home at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxboro.
