Amelia Y. Giampietro

June 20, 1926 - June 30, 2017

Beloved Mother , Grandmother and Great Grandmother

Amelia Y. “Mim” Giampietro, 97, a longtime resident of Foxboro, passed peacefully on June 30, 2017 in Norwood Hospital.  She was the beloved wife  of the late Louis W. Giampietro, Sr. who passed in 1997.

Born in Milford on June 26, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Marcolongo) Cheschi.  Amelia was educated in Milford Schools.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and cooking for her family and friends.  A verysocial person, she loved life and people. 

Amelia is survived by her three sons; Louis W. Giampietro, Jr. with who she made her home in Foxboro, Paul W. Giampietro of South Carolina, and David L. Giampietro  of New Hampshire, two grandchidren; David L. Giampietro Jr. of New Jersey, and Philip Giampietro of Boston, and four great grandchildren; Vivien, Ryland, Isla, and Henry Giampietro. She was predeceased by her eight siblings.

 

 

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday morning, July 15th from 8 -9:30 AM in the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro.  A funeral Mass will follow visitation at 10 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter Street, Foxboro.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxboro.For additional information please contact 508 543-5471. To light a special candle in Amelia’s memory please visit the funeral home web site at: www.robertsandsonsfuneralhome.com
