Foxboro – Deanna Carol Pittman, a long-time resident of Foxboro, died Saturday the 1st of April at Charlwell House in Norwood.
Born in 1939 in Canon City, CO., Deanna received her nursing degree through St. Mary Corwin School of Nursing, Pueblo, CO. She continued her education first at University of MA Dartmouth, from which she received her BS in Nursing, and then went on to receive her MS from Boston University.
Deanna was a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a captain in the Army Reserves. She worked at the Foxboro State Hospital, Wrentham State School, and later at the Brockton V.A. Hospital from which she retired.
Deanna spent half the year living in Foxboro and the other half in Miami where she loved swimming in the pool with her grandsons. Deanna loved good food, good movies, going for walks and visiting the beach to swim in the ocean.
She is survived by her husband, Darrah Montgomery; her two daughters, Theresa (Ragusa) Pacheco of West Barnstable and Monica Ragusa of Miami; her grandchildren, Rochelle Marney, Bruce Marney, Nicolas Guzman, and Joseph Guzman; and her great grandson, Declan.
She was the daughter of Richard Pittman and Lucile Bartlett of Pueblo, CO and the sister of Alma, Raymond, and Keith Pittman.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxboro, MA
