Dorothy L. Richard

Loving and Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Wrentham – Dorothy Louise (Graham) Richard, age 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2017 surrounded by the comfort of her loving family at the Wingate of Norton.  She was the daughter of the late Dewitt and Gertrude (Stimpson) Graham.

Dorothy was born on October 19, 1921 in Boston and graduated from nursing school in 1966 with an LPN license.  She was employed by the former Foxboro State Hospital as a charge nurse for fifteen years.  She married her late husband William S. Richard on June 21, 1941 in Boston.  Dorothy was a long-time Wrentham resident and a former resident of Sharon.

Dorothy most enjoyed spending time with her family.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH and Naples, FL. 

Beloved wife of the late William S. Richard.  Devoted mother of William and his wife Paula Richard of Mansfield, James and his wife Joan Richard of Wrentham, Dorothy and her husband William Cooke of Foxborough, Constance and her late husband Daniel Keefe of Foxborough, Mary Lou and her husband Richard McCormack of Norton, Janet and her husband David Nickerson of Foxborough, Gail and her husband Jeffry Vendetti of Franklin and Frances Balser of Norton.  She was the loving grandmother of twenty, great grandmother of forty and great-great grandmother of two – with one on the way.  She was one of five sisters and one brother. 

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 12 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 130 South Street, Wrentham.  Interment will be private.  For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.  To light a special candle in Dorothy’s memory please visit the funeral home web site at www.robertsandsonsfuneralhome.com

Donations Information
