Foxborough – Richard Kenneth Leemon, age 86, passed away on December 2, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Leonard and Lillian (Roberts) Leemon.
Richard was born on September 8, 1931 in Belleville, IL and earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed for several years as an engineer at the former Foxboro Company. Richard was an active member of several community theaters including the Kingswood Players, Walpole Footlighters, the Stoughton Little Theater and the Sharon Community Theater. He was a former member of the American Legion Band in Canton. He was a former Little League coach and enjoyed playing softball. Richard most enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Beloved husband of Norma (Davis) Leemon. Devoted father of Richard Leemon II and his wife Alex of Wrentham and Vic Leemon and his wife Christine of Mansfield. Loving grandfather of Steve and Luis and great grandfather of Averie and Coleson and uncle of Suzanne, David and Jacquelyn. Brother of Janet Hakala, Carolyn Weiland and the late Leonard, Charles and Jacquelyn Leemon.
