Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather
Foxborough-William Michael Driscoll, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Daniel and Margaret (O’Brien) Driscoll.
William was born in Boston on October 21, 1935 and was raised in Roslindale. He was a graduate of Roslindale High School, Class of 1953. He later earned his bachelor’s degree in business management at Northeastern University in Boston. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life Ellen Furey on May 24, 1958 at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help-Mission Church. He has been a Foxborough resident since 1967.
William retired as a manager of department operations for Boston Edison in 1993 after 42 years of service. After retirement he worked as a driver for the Foxboro Senior Citizens Vango. He was a former member of the Foxborough Advisory Committee.
He enjoyed vacationing with his family on Popponesset Beach and spending time around the pool with his grandchildren He also love bowling with his wife. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Loving father of Margaret Flacco and her husband Joseph of Wrentham, Patti Walsh and her husband Joe of Foxborough, Jean Dustin and her husband John of Foxborough and William Driscoll and his partner Anna Penny of Eugene, OR. Devoted Grandfather of Lauren, Briana, Joey, Maggie, Joe, Bobby, Jake, Jack, Kenzie, Katie, Hannah, Theresa and Bijoux. Great Grandfather of Paxton, Isabella and Bodhi. Brother of Daniel Driscoll and his wife Angela of Cotuit, Maureen Dalton of Norwood, Margaret Jordon of Roslindale and the late Robert Driscoll. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 4-8 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter Street in Foxborough. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxborough.
