Helen (Strojny) Salamon, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Rosalie (Lozinski) Strojny.
Helen was a graduate of Taunton High School and lived in Taunton for most of her life before moving to the Doolittle Home in Foxboro 2 years ago. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Bristol County Electrical Supply, retiring in 2000. While in Taunton, she attended mass every Sunday at Sacred Heart Church and when she moved to Foxboro she attended St. Mary’s. Helen loved to dance, particularly the Chicken Dance and Polka. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed singing, reading, gardening and family get-togethers. She also loved to cook Polish dishes, pierogies and golumpkies were her favorites to make. She was very generous and donated to many causes throughout her life. However, her highest priority was always her family and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Helen was the wife of the late Nicholas Salamon. Loving mother of Susan Goode and her husband Jeffrey, of Foxborough and Robert Salamon and his wife Elyse of Charleston, SC. Her grandchildren, Allyson and Matthew Goode and Maggie Robinson. Her brother Edward Strojny and his wife Irene of Lakeville, MA, sisters-in-law Helen Strojny, Mary Strojny and Helen Booth, brothers-in-law Paul and Peter Salamon and his wife Mary and her late siblings Wanda Dorosz, Waldo Digits, Sophie Zyskowski, Felix Strojny and Michael Strojny.
