Mary L. Ouimet

April 24, 1920 - March 28, 2017

Long Time Foxborough Resident

Foxborough – Mary L. (Brunell) Ouimet, age 96, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.  She was the daughter of the late Leo and Mae (Safford) Brunell. 

Mary was born in Foxborough on April 24, 1920 and was a graduate of Foxborough High School and attended the Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing in Boston.  She and her husband Gill were married on September 26, 1941 at St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough.  She and her husband moved to Chatham in 1975.  Mary returned to Foxborough after her husband’s death in 1999.

Mary was employed as a sales clerk at the former Ouimet Pharmacy in Foxborough and later worked for the Monomoy Pharmacy in Chatham.  She was also a sales clerk in the gift shop at the Lafayette House in Foxborough.  She was a charter member of the Foxborough Country Club and was a passionate Red Sox fan.  She enjoyed watching birds in her backyard and enjoyed acrylic and oil painting.  She was known for her baking, especially her fudge.  She also enjoyed knitting. 

Beloved wife of the late Gill Robert Ouimet.  Loving mother of Paul and his wife Joanne Ouimet of Foxborough, Christina Ouimet of Andover and the late Victor Ouimet.  Grandmother of Frank and DiAnn Lunnin.  Sister of the late Ruth Perkins, Robert Brunell, Teresa Davis, Douglas and Donald Brunell, Mark Brunell, Jean Guyon and Larry Brunell. 

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, April 1 from 9:30 AM to 11 AM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough.  A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday following calling hours.  Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxborough.  For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.  To light a special candle in Mary’s memory please visit the funeral home web site at www.robertsandsonsfuneralhome.com.
