George T. Nahas

May 19, 1923 - August 15, 2017

Beloved Father and Grandfather

Foxborough – George T. Nahas, age 94, passed away surrounded by the comfort of his loving family on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton.  He was the son of the late Toofik and Nora (Gosen) Nahas.

George was born on May 19, 1923 in Pawtucket, RI.  He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps in WWII.  He married his late wife Anne (Provencal) on June 19, 1952 in Woonsocket, RI.  George was employed as a TV technician for Channel 5, WCVB in Boston for several years.

George was very active in the YMCA and enjoyed swimming and walking.  He was a jack of all trades around the house and enjoyed, yard work, gardening and painting.  He enjoyed all types of news and keeping up with current events.  He spent many summers at Quonset Beach in RI where he and his family built a cottage.  George most enjoyed spending time with his family.

Beloved father of George P. Nahas of Norton, Gregory H. Nahas of Foxborough, Richard T. Nahas of Foxborough, Linda McCarthy and her husband Sean of Foxborough and Laura DeSimone and her husband Robert of Alpine, CA.  Devoted grandfather of Nicole. Shaelyn and Braden.  Brother of Richard Nahas of Cumberland, RI, Fred Nahas of TX and the late William and Leo Nahas.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, August 21 from 4 to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street, Mansfield.  Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxborough.  For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.  To light a special candle in George’s memory please visit the funeral home web site at www.robertsandsonsfuneralhome.com
