Edgar "Ted" Whitehouse

December 31, 1942 - August 18, 2017

Ted was born on December 31, 1942 in Attleboro and was a graduate of the Bristol County Agricultural School. He proudly served his country in the Army Reserve. Ted was employed for many years as a milk man for Welsh’s Dairy and Bliss. He was also a water technician for the Town of Foxborough for twenty five years. He married his wife Nancy (Devine) on August 19, 1978.

Ted was a multi-time New England Champion wrestler and a National Champion arm wrestler on both arms. He qualified for the Wide World of Sports arm wrestling competition and qualified to try out in New York at the World’s Fair and for the 1964 Olympic Trials for wrestling. He enjoyed boxing and cooking. His favorite time was making Thanksgiving dinner for his family. He was proud to have lived a good life and to have climbed Mount Washington. Ted was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Beloved husband of Nancy (Devine) Whitehouse. Devoted father of Laurie and her husband Kevin Sullivan of Cumberland, RI, Brian and his wife Norma Whitehouse of Honolulu, HI, Jeffrey and his wife Jeanine Whitehouse of Foxborough and Melissa and her husband Ryan Serra of Norton. Loving grandfather of Brian, Ashley, Zachary and Josie. Brother of Judy Antosca of Murrells Inlet, SC and the late Patricia Robinson.



Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, August 24 from 4 to 7 PM followed by a celebration of life service at 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough, MA.
