Mary L. Brown

February 21, 1938 - November 25, 2017

Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Mary L. (Costello) Brown, age 79, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2017 at the Easton Rehabilitation Center in Easton .  She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Janet (Foley) Costello.

Mary was born on February 21, 1938 in Norwood and was a graduate of Walpole High School, Class of 1955.  She married her late husband Richard e. Brown on September 2, 1956 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole.  Mary took pride in raising her family.  A long-time Foxborough resident, she was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and volunteering for the Annual Foxborough Senior Cookout.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed oldies concerts with her sisters.  Mary cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Beloved mother of Richard Brown, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Barnstable, Mary Brigham of Framingham and her late husband Robert, Sandy Hughes of Foxborough and Mike Brown of Mansfield.  Devoted grandmother of John, Nicole, Christian, Courtney, Carly, Ellie, Tori and Lauren.  Sister of Kay Day and her late husband George, Peggy Nash and her late husband Earl, Jack Costello and his wife Joanne, Patrick Costello, the late Frank Costello and his wife Sheila, the late Bobby Costello, the late Danny Costello and his wife Marion and the late Jimmy Costello and his wife Ruthie.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, November 29 from 4 to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter Street, Foxborough.  Interment will be at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.  For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.  To light a special candle in Mary’s memory please visit the funeral home web site at www.robertsandsonsfuenralhome.com
