Erna was adored by her family and many friends. She lit up the room with her curiosity, quick wit, generous hospitality, style and vivacious spirit. Erna was a caring wife and mother with a passion for tennis and bridge, and was an avid gardener. She and Bill loved to polka and they traveled together to discover new and exciting places across the globe. She loved to bargain shop, always knew how to find a deal and was very proud of it.
Erna celebrated each of her children and grandchildren as unique individuals by taking delight in and encouraging their interests and hobbies. She often asked evocative questions to prompt spirited conversations, always with a twinkle in her eye. Her home was a place of life and beauty; entertaining was a delight for her. Her most precious gift was providing the most delicious food and memorable dinners for family and friends.
